[The camera for this journal has been obscured completely, so that the writer's identity is somewhat of a mystery. It's someone with small, neat handwriting, at least, something close to cursive but not quite there, and almost too perfect to have been written by hand.]

The only useful information I have been able to gather is that I am now part of an experiment on a world other than my own. Why, and how, seem unimportant to my fellow captives, but it does seem as though this communication network has been in use for quite some time. Perhaps the answers are buried further than I have dug.

I do not expect assistance, but I would not mind being pleasantly surprised by it.

I am looking for as many I can find. How were we taken from our worlds to this one? For what reason, and by whom? How do we escape?

No one really knows those answers. From what we have determined, the world itself brings people in and out with something called "shifts." The Malnosso use this enclosure to experiment on controlling these shifts in order to find a way back. However, all they've managed to achieve is an endless variety of unpredictable effects.

How interesting...the world itself is responsible, then. Is this the result of some strange natural phenomena? Or could the planet be sentient? Is there any information on this?

I have heard a great deal of negative things about these Malnosso. Are they truly trying to find a way home, or are they simply taking advantage of the situation?

It's difficult to say. They cast these experiments, and occasionally even send us on drafts, but there are some members who have been helpful to us. So I can't say whether they have ulterior motives, or if they're a divided force.
