Oh, one of my friends is from the Kanto region! From what I've heard about it, it sounds like an interesting place, since it has many Pokemon living there that we don't have living in Unova. [Maybe someday he'll actually go there, but for now--] Are you a trainer?

...I had many, at the height of my career. I was...a rabid collector. [Haha cause he stole - anyway.]

I suppose...I was most fond of Meowth, and Pikachu.

Ah, I see! You have good taste! [Well okay Meowth is a little debateable because of past experiences with a talking Meowth, but--] Even though Meowth and Pikachu are normally rare to find in Unova, I've met those kind of Pokemon before; in fact, my friend from Kanto that I mentioned before has a Pikachu as his closest partner!

Oh? I once knew a trainer like that. Pikachu are somewhat unusual choices, but they are extremely intelligent and their moves very powerful.

Even if they sometimes end up being...temperamental. [To be fair, Pikachutwo kinda got it from him. :|b ]

That can be true, though I am glad that Ash's Pikachu tends to be very well-behaved, and that the two of them are very close. Their bond is certainly of exceptional taste...

[And that's even without knowing about some of the stuff those two have been through together before Cilan met them in Unova...]
