[Today, Room 3 at the Battle Dome is occupied by an angry cat monster. He can be found standing in the empty room, adjusting the program to his specifications; battling various holographic enemies, often with telekinesis and occasionally with only physical attacks; and, in the late afternoon, nursing a small wound on his forehead in the Medical Center.]

The Battle Dome is incapable of testing the limits of my powers. Despite my better judgment...I will ask for volunteers to train with.

But be warned that I am extremely powerful. Do not respond if you are anything less than godlike in your abilities.

And I wish to know more about the Filial Spirits, and how to connect to them. They may prove useful for my purposes.

After our fight? If our fight is not also our training, then it will be a waste of my time. I do not need to prove myself more powerful than others.

"Boasting" would involve exaggeration of my abilities. I have done no such thing here.

A god, myself? That depends on who you ask. [Some people did say that Legendary Pokemon were gods....] But I seek to grow stronger, not to impress you, stranger. If you wish to join me, then do so.

And how do you feel about training with an actual god?

Impress me enough, and I might even consider helping you with your request to know more of the spirits.

I am ready whenever you are. The battle dome is my current location, but I suppose any other place would do just as well. Though I doubt our fellow captives would appreciate any destruction to the town.

Godlike? What kind of specifications are you asking for here?

Indestructibility? The power to control weather?

Those powers would certainly be a start. But what is more important is the strength of said powers...although there are some that would be much less of a challenge than others.

Are those your powers, stranger?

Mine's more like increased durability and a couple other things.

Your durability would need to be quite significant to stand against me. My powers include telekinesis of matter.

Name the time and the place. {She hasn't had a strong opponent to focus on since she arrived. An army isn't quite the same.} I have not sought any of the spirits. Rei Hino might know more.

I must say, someone certainly is confident in themselves. Perhaps you are not using the Battle Dome to its full potential?

I am just as confident of my technological abilities as I am with my fighting prowess. The only challenge the Battle Dome presents is the same one the entire enclosure has: a dampening of my powers. I was stronger before I arrived here.

Well, confidence is generally attractive in an individual. Shouldn't you learn to fight without the benefit of your abilities as well? After all shifting power away is one of the main assets of the enemy.

I am doing so, in fact. I have already been caught unawares by such a shift. [It was not fun.] If you wished to assist me in hand-to-hand combat, I suppose the help would be welcomed.

Unfortunately, few have volunteered information about the Spirits. Do you know anything about them?

Not very much. I know their names and what kind of magic they use, and I was possessed by Eferin the fire spirit once. I'm not an expert, though.

A possession? That is interesting, even if you say you are not an expert. What was Eferin like?

He's kind of rash, impulsive and aggressive. I've got a bit of a temper normally, but under his influence, I was more irritable. I also wanted to go adventuring more. It was...kind of a possession, but it was more like he was sharing control rather than totally taking over.

Well, I'm probably too little to fight you. Can I watch, though? You must be really impressive.

[Watch him? That's actually not really a response he was expecting. He has to think about it for a bit; he's finally decided to show himself in public, so having an audience would be fine, but he does still have a shy mentality.]

[Almost instantly, in fact. Such is the advantage of teleporting.]

[While Eley hadn't often frequented the Battle Dome in the past, he was now in possession of weapons to try out, to train with in non-lethal combat. His aim was to disarm and protect others without killing and he supposed it was better to practice on enemies that weren't real rather than straight out in the battlefield.

When he comes by today though he notices that one of the rooms seems to be occupied by an oddly familiar creature... albeit much bigger and from the looks of things, much more powerful. But... was it really the same creature he had met before?

Though he's not sure if it's a good idea or not judging by his demeanour, Eley will be waiting for Mewtwo outside the occupied room to catch him as he leaves.]

Ah, excuse me...

[Mewtwo meets the man's gaze with a somewhat harsh look; he's been concentrating on battle all day, and his face is also naturally severe. But immediately he processes who this is in front of him, and his expression softens. This man...his memories of his time as a youngster in Luceti are somewhat fuzzy, but he definitely recognizes him.]

You... [His eyes widen in surprise. What was his name.....

[Eley sees the shift in his expression, some form of recognition perhaps... it allows him to relax somewhat when the words followed. Then the creature did recognise him. Perhaps he wasn't mistaken. He gives a nod.]

Yes, the Wind Spirit. Then you were the one from that day... Mewtwo was it?

[whaaaaaa this is crazy. He feels a sudden surge of happiness, the sort one gets when finding something long lost. It's very strange. He doesn't have any "childhood friends" (or does he? who was that girl), but Eley...sort of is that.

Yes...I am. [Weird, but...not really bad weird. Even if he almost can't believe that this is actually happening.] I did not even think to look for you...

[What is it you say to friends? Oh, right.

A little smile appears on his face.] How...are you?

[Seeing even the hint of a smile was a surprise to Eley, but it encouraged a small smile of his own, knowing that Mewtwo still felt some kind of connection to him. It was a childhood memory for him after all, even if to Eley it was just the briefest of chance meetings.]

I am well, thank you. And yourself? I admit that I was not expecting to find you here... it was a coincidence that I happened to see you in one of the rooms here. You did seem familiar, albeit it much... bigger. More stern. Powerful. I... had not realised you would grow so strong when we first met.

[He's not entirely sure how to answer the "how are you" question, because he's frustrated and tired and full of dark thoughts about the Malnosso, and he feels like this should be a happy meeting - like falling back into those negative emotions would make Eley upset, maybe make him go away, and he doesn't want that. He's used to being negative, but right now he wants to be positive, somehow.

But then Eley continues and he feels a surge of pride. Why, yes, he is super strong, thank you for noticing. :D The Pokemon straightens a bit, smile becoming more confident.]

Heh. I suppose that I was much smaller then...but that form was from long ago. I have mastered my powers since then. [Wow, brag much. But unlike his usual bragging, it's based off of a hope that his audience will be impressed, not intimidated. COOL RIGHT ELEY? COOL RIGHT? 833333 ]

[It's okay. The question can go unanswered. It's true Eley would likely be concerned if he knew about all these dark thoughts swimming around in his head, but he certainly wouldn't abandon him over it! If only he knew that.

His change in posture doesn't go unnoticed either. The Spirit can see just how confident and proud he is at his apparent mastery and that does make him happy for his friend. Although perhaps not for the reasons he thinks (even though you are SUPER COOL, obviously Mewtwo! :DDD). Just seeing Mewtwo smile like that gives Eley cause for happiness.]

You were certainly very new to the world back then, even moreso than myself. For the first time, I could teach someone else through what I have learned here. [It was rather sweet, honestly. Eley couldn't help but feel proud of himself too.] But I now see you have grown in more ways than one. Your powers... I hope that you have been using them in the right way.
