[Sharpedo? He thinks for a moment before coming up with his conversation with Crobat; his team had included a Sharpedo, yes? And what was his trainer's name again?]
Archie.
[(Ok, it could be some other trainer, but why not make the guess? It'll be funny if he's right.)]
I am curious as to whom you believe you are speaking to. But I am more curious as to what is ailing Sharpedo. Are they in need of assistance? [Not that he'd help a smelly human, but if a Pokemon bro needs something!!!]
[there's a hint of surprise, but-- well, whatever. if this was trouble he'd know already.]
I don't know who you are. I don't recognise your voice. Sharpedo... he found an old anchor at the bottom of the lake and decided to exercise his jaw by chewing on it. There's some metal stuck in his teeth. If you're able to heal or do anything for the pain, then you're welcome to try. People are capable of all sorts here.
[Teehee, he was right. And yet the man is still being surprisingly open. It'd be funnier if you reacted more, Archie.]
I am not a healer. But I am interested in the well-being of Pokemon.
[Too bad he doesn't know any healing moves, really. Giovanni wasn't particularly interested in teaching him any of that.
Reluctantly, Anabel and Nanu's faces transmit through the telepathic link. Mewtwo's not sure if he trusts either of them, but they are the only other trainers he knows of here. Maybe they can help?]
Ah. I see. Well, it's nothing severe. He'll be fine. I've almost got it out, anyway. He's being very good.
[he accidentally sends a mental image of what he's seeing, which is sharpedo floating in the water, looking upset, and archie's hands on its snout. mewtwo will probably note the metal stuck between two of its front teeth.]
You know Nanu and Anabel? Are you a trainer or just a friend?
[Aww, a Pokebro in distress. Archie does seem to have a handle on things, though, Mewtwo will reluctantly admit to himself. On another note, maybe he should take Crobat up on the offer to hang out sometime.]
[Speaking of Crobat, and also Archie's question: if he was more in control of this telepathic link, he'd probably just say something mysterious and fly away. But since he's not in control, an image of Crobat slips through.
[NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. HE IS NOT HALF AS MYSTERIOUS NOW. Although he supposes Crobat won't be able to name him to Archie, so there's still a bit of mystique. Moreover, he's concerned that he's given away his Pokemon...ness. Damn.
No. But the people here are different from the world we came from. I worry about him being mistaken for a monster. He can defend himself, but... it shouldn't have to come to that.
[Irritation? Protectiveness over his Pokemon? Well, Crobats evolve through high friendship, so perhaps that's not surprising, but still. It catches his interest.]
Many Pokemon could be seen as monsters. There is a guild here that hunts exotic beasts, from what I have heard.
[What do you think about that huh Archie...huh........]
[that irritations strengthens into more outright anger. it's almost like it's buzzing through the connection-- like a bug lamp.]
Yeah. I've had a few dealings with them. Fucking assholes seem to get off on killin' the wildlife here, you don't know how many I've punched. The fact that their first instinct is to kill instead of relocate or just leave alone is utterly sick.
They have evolved the way they have naturally. The same way many Pokémon do. Maybe Aggron are savage in the way they defend their home, but also maybe you could just stay the hell out of their territory? I don't understand why they always want to take and take and take.
[WOAH THERE. Sorry for the surprise coming through the link, but that was not the reaction Mewtwo expected. It almost sounds like something he'd say himself...(if more eloquently, maybe...)
It's not a bad sort of surprise, though. He's not going to switch over to thinking that Archie's immediately trustworthy, but it does raise the man's esteem in Mewtwo's mind. Nice work.]
You believe they are truly dangerous to Pokemon, then? At least potentially?
[honestly, if his vaguely anti-human rant got him any supporters again, archie would be horrified.]
So far they haven't proven to be, but I won't trust them so long as they hunt the creatures of their own world.
[there's a hesitant pause then, mired with uncertainty:] I did some terrible things back home because I hated how humanity was destroying the natural world and Pokémon habitats. I learned the hard way that what I did was unacceptable, but I can't quite entirely let go of the idea that the Pokémon back home deserve far better.
[another pause. he hasn't actually outwardly admitted that before-- this unfiltered stuff... there's a twinge of guilt and a brief flash of a rainstorm.]
Sorry. I shouldn't unload this all on you when we barely even know each other.
misfire
[what human would dare ask mewtwo to do some basic bitch chore? certainly not this one, because that was a misfire!]

Normally, he'd probably just not answer, but...okay, fine, he's kind of curious. Mewtwo responds to a wrong number text just to see what happens...]
If you know that they are on sale, why are you not buying them yourself?

Sharpedo has something stuck in his jaws. I can't leave him until I figure this out.

[archie sounds delighted.]
I'm glad he's making friends!

Does he typically have difficulty?
