I have tried some meditation. But there are many forms of that I do not know, so perhaps there is a better way for recalling memories.
Other than that, I have been at a loss. There are no physical keepsakes from those times, no one here who would remember in my stead. I continue to go over the parts I do remember, but everything else feels out of reach.
