[Sadly, Ginia has more experience with losing or repressing memories than regaining lost ones. But with someone missing memories in Luceti, she can emphasize.]
Unfortunately, I don't know as much about regaining memories. I've heard of methods of hypnotizing someone and asking questions in order to job memories that have been repressed. However, the validity of the method and memories is highly debatable.
If there's anyone around that knows you, they can possibly help you remember things by talking about experiences and showing items or pictures related to the lost memories.
The thought of hypnotism had occurred to me. [One of those "this is a dumb idea but WHAT IF" thoughts.] But I do not know anyone versed in it. Or perhaps I was hoping for some sort of actual magic that might allow it to work...
No one here would have known me then...[Picture this being said in a sad voice. Very sad. He knows it has to do with when he was a child, but for as long as he's been conscious he's always thought he didn't have a childhood. Now he's found out that he did (sort of), but it was still clearly a lonely one. Unless one of the scientists who made him suddenly appeared, or Amber, he was out of luck in that department.]
Unfortunately, that's not something I'm versed in either nor do I know anyone here with that ability. Here, I mostly hear people wanting to suppress memories. [Sometimes she falls into that category herself, but she's seen what memory loss can do to a person and she's leery.] Someone at one of the clinics might know something.
Home...I think. I am not sure. [Well, he's pretty sure, but he's also pretty shook up about the whole thing, so. :( ]
The last shift reverted me to a child. At that age, my memory had not been...lost, or tampered with, so I had them for those few days. Now that I am grown again, they are gone.
I did lose some memories when I was in my home world, but it was triggered by an event I caused. I'm afraid I don't have much experience with tampered memories, but mine eventually came back on their own.
But if you really want those memories back, perhaps you could talk to the Malnosso. Have you heard of the rewards they sometimes give for volunteering for mission and experiments? Not sure they can return memories like that, but they might.
Hm. On their own? How long did this take? [(And yea, he's fairly sure he's in the "tampered memories" department, but you never know what might help.)]
The Malnosso? They are our tormentors, stranger. It is insane to ask something of them, as though they are reasonable or benign. As though they would not take advantage of any request we might have.
You may not like this, but they took nearly twenty years to return.
[A small pause as he tries to think of how he wishes to word this next bit. As he agreed with Mewtwo in some ways. He did not like relying on the Malnosso, but it also was not that simple.]
It is true that they are our tormentors and to take offers from them can be risky. However, I have heard that at times they can be reasonable. If it is something you very desperately want they might be worth going to. Just know you may be tricked in the long run. If it is something that can wait or be left alone then I am not sure I would advise going to them.
And you don't need to worry about my process, it was extremely difficult and unlikely to happen here. As for remembering, I do have quite a few experiments from my younger days that related to that.
["Volunteer for experiments" sets him on edge, although he's not sure what else he was expecting after asking such a broad question to so many people. He hates the idea of experiments, of being one again....but....]
It depends upon your tolerance and acceptance of the drugs, but yes, they tend to be very effective in the short term. The memories, or special abilities, can be tapped while the drugs are in effect, but once they have faded the effects will also go. The memories, however, if capable of being revived, will remain your own - although it will be more like living a movie and less like your own life.
This is, of course, entirely dependent on the memories still being intact and simply inaccessible at this present moment. Should the portion of your brain housing these memories be destroyed or removed, they will be gone forever.
I have tried some meditation. But there are many forms of that I do not know, so perhaps there is a better way for recalling memories.
Other than that, I have been at a loss. There are no physical keepsakes from those times, no one here who would remember in my stead. I continue to go over the parts I do remember, but everything else feels out of reach.
[Hmm... It takes a moment for Ven to respond. After all, he hasn't really taken the time to think about who he used to be.
But when he tries, all he gets are flashes of recollections. Heartless leaping at him. Collapsing on the ground. Xehanort stabbing him with his Keyblade...]
...It's only been bits and pieces. Most of those memories are still gone, and I dunno how I'd begin to get 'em back.
[How? That's kinda a silly question, but far be it from Ven to say so. After all, his experience is hardly gonna match up with everybody's. Still, for what it's worth...]
Well, I had friends with me every step of the way. They helped me get back on my feet, and between spending time with them and working on my training, I just never stopped to think about who I was before. It never really mattered back then.
[Written | camera obscured]
I have experience with both to varying degrees. What do you want to talk about?
[Written | camera obscured]
How to recover them.
I believe the ones I discovered must be important to me...yet I still do not remember it all.

Thank you.

You're welcome. I hope you can find a way to regain your memories.

What experience do you have with memories, scientist?
written,
Which I suppose is one problem I have with memories. Although the rest came via a different process.

What process is this? I wish to remember, not forget.

How? [he understands...you know...literally how to do that, but he can't imagine not being haunted every second by those lost memories.]
